Pound Gates have supported Cargostore for a number of years with their expert knowledge of the insurance market as it impacts our business. It is this expertise combined with true partner level responsiveness and proactive management of our insurance requirements that make Pound Gates such a valuable partner for Cargostore.

BEWARE all flat owners who share a common buildings Insurance policy through the freehold company! There is a CONFLICT OF INTEREST when one flat has eg a water leak from an upper neighbouring flat. The owners of the flat that has had the damage have been shafted into bearing the excess on the policy. In our case, from a 668 claim we have lost 500.
We are the victims of the damage, but we have had to pay for it. This company has done nothing to ameliorate the situation. In a professional situation there should not be conflict of interest - eg a Solicitor cannot act for 2 opposing clients. Mrs Sandra Rose

AVOID - Insurers that DONT insure when an accident happens. We have a vehicle that was involved in an accident 3 months ago that Poundgates as our broker selected an Insurer that now will not imdemnify an accident that has happened. This means that we are circa 12-15k out of pocket. We had a vehicle involved in an accident in Belgium that they are saying is not insured unless we notified them in advance of us leaving the UK, HOWEVER we were insured with them for several years under AXA insurance and we had auotomatic EU cover.
But when Poundgates changed our policy to DCL insurance, they failed to highlight to us this fundamental change. In all documents we made clear to them we go abroad regualrly and that we were looking for a like for like policy. They are allegely the experts and gave us a policy that is not fit for purpose.
