CWH & Co is one of the largest independent firms of Surveyors and Loss Adjusters in the UK that specialises in surveys & investigations for and on behalf of Insurers that underwrite Marine Cargo, Freight Forwarders and Transit Liability Risks. By way of history Clark Woodward & Co was originally formed back in 1978 by the merger of R F Clark & Co with Bob Hungate.
CWH & Co undertake a great range of Marine Cargo surveys, including but not limited to the following. These surveys not only include physical and wet damage to the cargo but also investigation into shortage, theft, infestation and any other marine peril. This include advice and expertise in load procedure for timber and sheet materials as well as frozen cargo, particularly stowage and Quality Assurance measures on fish.
We have over the years built a reputation of specialising in this field and handle numerous large UK haulage and distribution companies both for their insurers and individually for them on claims that fall below their excess. This work extends to both UK firms and those based on the Continent. In addition, adjustments and advice on individual standard trading conditions is often given.
