Questions
Can I get a policy longer than 12 months for bluewater cruising?
Yes, for events like World ARC we offer policies aligned with rally schedules, starting on 1st January to accommodate transatlantic voyages.
What if my cruising plans change mid-policy?
We allow mid-term adjustments to cruising areas or policy details at no administrative cost, with premium adjustments if required.
Does racing coverage include rig damage?
Standard policies cover hull damage during racing with double excess, but rig coverage only applies for damage from collision, stranding, sinking, or fire.
Is automatic policy renewal available?
We don't offer automatic renewals to maintain tailored service, but provide renewal quotes approximately a month before expiration with policyholder input.
Do I need a boat survey for insurance?
A survey isn't required for quotes, but may be requested for boats over 25 years old or those undertaking extended cruising trips before coverage is confirmed.

Report
Nice as pie until you need to claim then 99% obstructive and unhelpful. I had an accident some years ago which was settled by the other party's insurer direct, without recourse to Admiral, but they still demanded an excess and threatened suspension of the policy if I didn't pay it. Not at all sure that was legal
