Bakerhill Associates is a life insurance and protection broker and adviser based on Great Portland Street in Marylebone, London. Founded in 2016 by Matt Baker, the firm helps professionals, families and business owners put the right cover in place, with clear advice and no pressure.

As a whole-of-market broker, Bakerhill compares policies from a wide range of UK insurers, so clients aren't tied to one provider's products or prices. Every recommendation is built around the client's circumstances, budget and plans.

Life Insurance
Life insurance pays a lump sum to your loved ones if you die during the policy term, helping them cover the mortgage, household bills and everyday costs. Bakerhill compares policies from a wide range of UK insurers to find the right level of cover at a competitive price, whether you need single, joint or family cover. We can also help you place your policy in trust, so the payout reaches your family quickly without waiting for probate.
Critical Illness Cover
Critical illness cover pays a lump sum if you're diagnosed with a serious illness covered by your policy, such as certain cancers, heart attack or stroke. The money is yours to use however you need, from paying off the mortgage to covering time off work while you recover. Definitions vary between insurers, so Bakerhill takes you through the differences clearly and helps you choose cover that fits your circumstances. It can be taken on its own or alongside life insurance.
Income protection
Income protection pays you a regular monthly income if illness or injury stops you working, until you're able to return or the policy ends. It's one of the most valuable covers for anyone who relies on their salary, and especially for the self-employed, who have no employer sick pay to fall back on. Bakerhill helps you set the right waiting period, benefit amount and policy length, so the cover matches your outgoings and any support you already have through work.
Private medical insurance

Thanks to Matt for providing a great service - you really took your time to understand our exsiting policies and what was and wasn't important to us for the critical illness and health insurance cover. It was really refreshing to get an impartial bit of advice on the best covers we should go for, it really felt like that came first rather then the products he had availble. We ended up taking out some fantastic policies with double the cover for less money, couldnt be happier! Having been a customer of his now for over 7 years I couldnt recommend him more highly and do refer him to friends and family all the time!!

My wife is delighted that I now have life insurance.
Nico was extremely helpful throughout the process, always available and always quick to respond to questions. He offered to have zoom conversations in the evenings so that my wife and I could both be present.
When I looked at a comparison quote, Nico was fair and honest about what my options were and the cost difference. I felt he was really on our side to get the best package for us.
In the end we went for Relevant Life insurance cover for both me and my wife, paid for by my company which is tax efficient.
I will strongly recommend Nico to anyone who I hear requires his services.

Sofia was brilliant in helping me sort out my various life insurance needs and enabling me to consolidate and improve on my existing policies. She took the time to chat through my needs, run through the options and – crucially – made recommendations based on my lifestyle and circumstances. She took control of the application process, asking me questions when needed. Where options were available, Sofia explained the pros and cons of each, and once the application was submitted she kept me up to date with the status.

We already had insurance but after Matt had given us a free review, we found that it was set up incorrectly that if we did need to claim that we likely wouldn’t have been paid out.
Thankfully Matt sorted this out all for us hassle free and was so patient answering all of our questions. Not only that but he was considerably cheaper.

I have always found them a pleasure to deal with as they are friendly, informative and knowledgeable.

I recently took out a private health care policy for my family of 5.
My wife had conducted online research and recieved a number of quotes for cover.
I spoke with Matthew at Bakerhill Associates and he was able to find us a policy with a greater level of cover at a better price.
As Matthew explained to me, Bakerhill can access all available products on the market so they WILL find the best deal for you.
Matthew was very professional and communicative, and most importantly, he had all the answers to my wife's questions around the policy. His knowledge of the products is second to none.
I will be using Bakerhill Associates going forward for private healthcare and other products such as income protection and life cover as I have absolute faith in Matthew to provide the cover I need at the best possible prices.

I was recently recommend Bakerhill Associates and first was offered a free review of my then current insurance. Within a matter of an hour or 2 the adviser Matt rang me back and said he could provide me with the exact same policy bu for £15/month cheaper.
Huge savings! But since we had first taken that policy our circumstances had changed and that cover was not really beneficial to us. After a thorough conversation about the best way to protect us and our son, we agreed to split policies with 5 times the amount of protection and over 20 years (rather than the 5 existing). I now feel we are well and fully protected should anything arises but by someone who cares and knows his customers. Impeccable service, could not fault, and we've already pencilled our next review in a couple years time. Highly recommended
