The stallion permanent disability clause must be added to an existing All Risks of Mortality Policy. It is an essential clause for horses being used as a stallion or intended for use in the future as a breeding stallion. This clause will cover the owner for an agreed period during which a stallion becomes totally and permanently impotent, infertile or incapable of serving mares, as a result of an accident, illness or disease. This type of insurance policy is subject to standard veterinary certificates which makes specific reference to the genitalia.

This cover insures stallion, for any cause, provided such cases or causes be solely attributed to the insured stallion and certificated as such by a panel of veterinary surgeons. This type of insurance policy is subject to a completed first season stallion infertility veterinary certificate.
