Questions
What is medical malpractice insurance?
Medical malpractice insurance protects practitioners against legal costs and damages from allegations of negligence during aesthetic treatments.
Do I need a corporate or private policy?
Corporate policies are required for limited companies, covering the business and employees. Private policies apply to individual practitioners.
Will I be insured for treatments outside my premises?
Policies are not premises-specific but underwritten territorially, allowing coverage for mobile services or multiple clinics.
Can I add new treatments to my policy?
New treatments can be added if covered, requiring training certificates, no outstanding claims, and income details.
What happens when my policy ends?
You can renew with us or transfer providers. Consider run-off cover to protect against claims for up to three years post-treatment.

As a letting agent we use Hamilton Fraser's HF Assist feature whereby we can call or email for any legal advice. I generally speak with Dale or Julie and they are both so helpful and efficient, but anyone I have spoken to there have been great. I use them regularly and they always come back to me swiftly with a comprehensive and informative response, and there is often a bit of humour thrown in too, which is always welcome when things get a bit stressful!

It's so nice to know that if I'm unsure on anything, or just want someone to back me up and ensure that I am advising my clients correctly, they can clarify things quickly and easily for me. I don't know what I'd do without them!

Beware, please never sign up with this insurance company. Once you join you are stuck for life. They work on a "claims made basis" so that you can never change insurers or get out of their trap, as if you leave you will not be covered for even retrospective claims. They have no humanity or empathy. Our doctor had an accident and will not be able to work for another few months. Whilst every other company including MPS immediately responded positively with freezing the account for the duration (and even refunding some amount!), HF bluntly said the options are to continue paying them or cancelling and putting yourself at risk. They have no intention to help or look after their clients, they are out there to prey on them.

When you call to make a claim, you will be diverted to voicemail. You leave a message and no one return the call. But when it's time to renew your policy, they will harass you with several calls daily. I will never use it again. What kind of insurer close claim line at 5pm anyway? By far they are the worst insurer I've ever used!

The staff are useless and can't change my mobile number. Then the 6th time I rang the man who couldn't get it right decided to have an attitude with me, ending the call as I was thanking. So rude, feel like going elsewhere!
