Photoguard Insurance At photoGuard, we provide specialist photography insurance for cameras and equipment to amateur photographers, professionals and everyone in-between. With cover that includes theft and accidental damage at home or on a shoot and Public Liability insurance, you can feel protected whenever you're behind the lens. We will be undertaking planned maintenance from 6pm on Saturday evening (11/06/2022) until 3am Sunday morning (12/06/2022). After this time you will be able to obtain a quote or access your policy information as normal.

Purchased via a cash back site and they've declined the cash back. Policy still in place, no reason why declined. Looks like a possible scam.

Avoid this company. Paid insurance on my kit for 6 years and spilt tea on my laptop a few weeks back. I had to pay for the assessment myself, then they finally got back to me and are only covering me 500 with my excess deducted. On a 1700 laptop. And won't let me leave the policy. The customer service is appalling. Had to deal with so many problems over the years - not sending me documents, automatically renewing policies and now wasting so much time/money on my first ever claim with them.

Please read the Small Print. If your lens or camera is damaged and is repairable as most are, be aware of this policy's small print. If the item cost 200 to repair they will not issue an amount of financial cover over that of the item repair cost (200) for the potential hire cost occurred. For example hire could be 500 for the time it takes to repair the claim.

You would need to pay the difference of 300 plus the additional excess cost out your own pocket. This isn't fully covering you against all costs that could occur that are not your fault. I thought this was the purpose of insurance? I'm very disappointed and dissatisfied at this point in time.

Horrible company. I haven't taken out any policy with them, but from their customer services team and the way they are ran, here's my observations: -) Customer service team do not get back to you when you say they would check with the underwriter, you have to chase them up to get your questions answer -) The Customer service team does not know much regarding the Policy.

Any additional questions on the Policy wording is extremely difficult to get a concrete answer to From what I have experienced with calling them, I would be extremely wary of what will happen when I make a claim. All the questions I've asked are pretty easy to answer and standard, but no one seems to know. When it comes to claiming something, it would be extremely easy for them to turn around and tell you that you've not understood the Policy correctly, or that you've missed something. Try calling them yourself and see, my advice is to STAY CLEAR!

AVOID 2 Months to refund and still waiting. I've Been insured with this company for years and not had any problem but this year they renewed my policy without notifying me.(which had gone up) and when I phoned up to ask why they just said sorry. I then cancelled the policy same day and they said they would refund straight away. Over a month later I'm still on the phone asking where my refund is. Just been told it could take ANOTHER 5 working days.that's over 2 months to pay me back. Waste of time, ,,

Critical: Value I have not yet made a claim, so can't comment on the actual insurance. My premium increased by almost 50% after the first couple of years though, which seems excessive.

4 years with the company, come to making my first claim and I'm not covered for the damage to my lens. What a waste of 400 across those years. I've recommend to friends in the past who ill be advising to cancel their insurance. AVOID.

So poor! After years of using photoguard I moved this year due to poor customer service, high fees without a service to match I also have been awaiting a refund for months - due to their own incompetence I was charged to receive a letter that wasn't even relevant to me & im still waiting to be reimbursed!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Incredibly rude, I was left on hold for over 10 minutes and all I wanted to do was pay a missed payment. The lady on the phone started arguing with me and shouting down the phone telling me, I had hung up the phone on her! She then hung up on me!

Been with Photoguard for years. Every year they try and hike up the price until you contact them to negotiate it back to a reasonable cost of living rise. This year, they almost doubled my premium despite having never made a claim! I've had enough - I'll go elsewhere. Appalling way to treat loyal customers Photoguard!

Waste of my money! After paying a full premium for my coverage, I was treated with hostility and contempt. I contacted to request advice on how to make a claim. I was given an email with #contempt and a #snooty tone to tell me I wasn't going to be covered for whatever it was I had the #audacity to be claiming against (well that was the take home message).

I recommend you carefully consider who you insure with as #PhotoGuard is #insurance is money in the bin for what I can tell. :-( Zero effort to comfort or value my custom following this correspondence which made the harsh reality check of their lack of commitment to customer service. I am just angry at myself for trusting in such a horrible set of shysters.

Nothing but good experience with photoguard. Made two claims, with the only minor fault being paid by cheque instead of BACS. Both times, the customer service folks were helpful and friendly. Yes, as some other reviewers point out, it can take time to settle a claim, but this seems to be true of all insurers. I made a separate claim with another insurer as part of a single incident, and I can tell you, I wish my other kit was covered by photoguard as well.
