For over 100 years, we have been there in person when you have needed an insurance expert by your side - Identifying and reducing threats to your business, your assets, and negotiating cover for the risks that can't be avoided. We have found J Bennett and Son to be both professional and competitive. They have been proactive when we have needed a niche insurance product and they give sound advice as regards the levels and type of cover we need.

Peter started his 40+ year career within the Insurance industry in 1977 with the Bradford Pennine Insurance Company in Birmingham. He moved into Broking in 1979 and spent 4 years working in the Birmingham area until he moved south to work for a large broking chain before joining D G Carr & Co in High Wycombe in 1992. D G Carr & Co merged with J Bennett & Son in 2009 and Peter became our 5th Managing Director in 2014. Peter worked for a multi-national brokerage in the City for 10 years before joining J. Bennett & Son as a Director in 1984.

When the worst happens and you need to make a claim, our dedicated claims team are here to help. Please report any losses however minor and whatever their nature as soon as possible. Most insurance policies include the condition that all losses must be reported without delay and failure to do so may result in your insurer repudiating your claim at a later date.

Complaints are handled with the utmost importance and care at J Bennett & Son (Insurance Brokers) Ltd, and we aim to resolve all complaints in an efficient manner whilst ensuring compliance with the complaints handling procedural requirements set out by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), Lloyds and other applicable regulatory bodies. If we are unable to resolve the issue to your satisfaction by the end of the third business day, we will formally investigate the matter. You will receive an acknowledgement of the matter, together with a copy of our complaints process, promptly and certainly within 5 working days.
